Preview: People Movement and Management Show returns on March 6/7th at Olympia London

The People Movement and Management Show returns next week with the 2018 event being held at London Olympia as part of UK Security Week, showcasing the latest technology, products and services in people counting, analytics and crowd modelling.

The decision to move the event to London has attracted many of the world’s premier providers in the people analytics field, with over 20 fascinating presentations taking place from global leaders in their fields, including Network Rail, Foamhand, PTV Group, Acorel, the Sports Ground Safety Authority and Panasonic.

“The field of people analytics and people-centred technologies has emerged over the last few years from one focused primarily on safety to one increasingly aimed at maximising the experience of people as they engage with their surroundings. By providing data and products that enhance both the design and operations phase of urban spaces, the sector is likely to continue to see considerable growth in the future,” said Ken Davies, MD of GSE Media, the producer of the event.

The importance of the event continues to develop, with this year’s event welcoming exhibitors and delegates from across the world to London to network and build key relationships in this rapidly developing field.

The conference agenda features fascinating presentations ranging across subjects as diverse as:

  • Predicting & Managing People Movement at the 2018 Winter Olympics
  • Challenges faced at the busiest rail station in the UK – Waterloo,
  • The Influence of Artificial Intelligence on People Counting
  • The Challenges of keeping people safe at sports grounds
  • The Future of Queuing – Revolutionising the customer experience

Davies added: “Hardly a day goes by without fascinating new developments in this space. As the density of our urban existence only continues to intensify, the issue of how we deal with an even more crowded world is at the centre of many of the decisions we make as designers and operators of the urban realm.”

With advances in the technologies of IoT and AI releasing new capability all the time, we are at a pivotal moment in the development of these technologies and how they can contribute to defining the future.”

Free tickets for the event are available from the event’s website.
